Handmade with Love @ Trinity

Posted on April 11, 2013 By Blazer Bear

We are really looking forward to Handmade with Love @ Trinity on Saturday. It follows on from the huge success of their November fair and celebrates numerous and varied local artists, designers and craft makers.

The courier will be featuring the event this Friday and it has already had a lot of press coverage having been featured in the publication Handmade Living, Mollie Makes and local magazines and radio.

Handmade with Love @ Trinity

Appleducks is a local Tunbridge Wells based events business and this will be the second Handmade with Love craft fair . Appleducks founders Jo Roberts (facebook.com/lovelieshandmade) and Stephanie Brushfield  (elephantinmyhandbag.com) made the decision after their first Handmade with Love event in November proved a big hit with craftspeople and the local public

Handmade with Love @ Trinity will be held on Saturday 13th April 2013 from 10.00 am – 4 pm and will feature a huge range of beautiful handmade items, all created by local artists and makers.  As well as knitted, crocheted and hand sewn goods, there will be artwork, ceramics, cards, homeware, jewellery and clothing for sale. Some of the stalls are returning after the success of the November event. However there are many new stall including Blazer Bear!

Come and see our Blazer Bear stall where we will be displaying some of our bears and the many options available to you to create your very own bespoke keepsake. We will have examples of uniform, rugby, bridesmaid and kilt bears to name but a few. They are bigger than you imagine! We offer a discount of £5 if a deposit is put down on the day, and will give you a pre addressed mailing bag and check list. We will also be at hand to advise and answer any questions you may have!

Entry to Handmade with Love @ Trinity will be just £3 and children under 14 are free.

The event will also feature some local musical talent – in the morning Trinity will be hosting their renowned “Breakfast at Trinity”, with live acoustic music from “Gentlemen of Few” and “Dorey the Wise” and in the afternoon, talented musician David Mumford, who recently supported folk music legend Joan Armatrading at The Assembly Halls, will be playing songs from his debut album “Bonfire Music”. Don’t miss this chance to see him!

How did it start?

tplFriends since their first children were born, Pru and Kathy are two mums whose children are now at secondary school. As a special keepsake Pru made each of her children a teddy bear out of their old school Blazers. Kathy loved the concept so they joined forces and Blazer Bear. was born.  Find out more

How does it work?

Whether it be a blazer, school uniform, rugby shirts, precious clothing babygros, the list is endless. Everything is lovingly handcrafted entirely from what you give us. If it is a group school order you are after, we can often source the fabrics and even incorporate a school emblem Find out
