Autumn Blazer Bears

Posted on September 12, 2016 By Blazer Bear

Autumn at the Blazer Bear workshop has started with a swing. We are very excited as we have expanded and doubled our workshop space! This means all our display bears have a place to call home and we have a wonderful spacious environment for all of us while we are working. We were getting a little crowded with stock and machines and so now we have room to spread ourselves out and shelves to organise all our sewing equipment, dispatch materials, stuffing and exhibition equipment.

We have continued to have a very busy month with orders coming in daily which is fantastic! We have also had some wonderful letters and emails like the one below telling us how pleased people are with their new arrivals:

I wanted to write and thank you so much for the care and attention to detail and thought that you put in to making his bear. I fell in love with him the moment I saw him! He is gorgeous! My son loved him too. What a lovely lifetime memory of his time school
Many many thanks and best wishes, Sarah

As always each Blazer Bear is so individual even the group orders from the same school!

There have also been lots of awards and badges to include. These badges are not just school related but from Brownies, swimming, gymnastics or simple personal momentos:

The fair season is also about to start. We are retuning to Bricklehurst School on Saturday 24th of September which is a lovely event and one that Rosemary Shrager attends. We received one of her signed cook books last year which we love! We are also attending Mayfield Michaelmas Fair on Wednesday 28th of September which is always packed full of great Christmas gift ideas to get the ball rolling …. oh and delicious cake!

How did it start?

tplFriends since their first children were born, Pru and Kathy are two mums whose children are now at secondary school. As a special keepsake Pru made each of her children a teddy bear out of their old school Blazers. Kathy loved the concept so they joined forces and Blazer Bear. was born.  Find out more

How does it work?

Whether it be a blazer, school uniform, rugby shirts, precious clothing babygros, the list is endless. Everything is lovingly handcrafted entirely from what you give us. If it is a group school order you are after, we can often source the fabrics and even incorporate a school emblem Find out
