Blazer Bears 2015

We have had a really busy month making Blazer Bears for 2015 school leaves. We have had a lot of interest in our new small keepsake bears with orders from Jersey, Bristol, Edinburgh and London to name a few.

Some of these small keepsake bears have been made from the blazers like these gorgeous grey and pink bears. The blazer badge pocket can’t be used as it is too large but we have incorporated all the other elements of the uniform.

The girls had pink shirts as the ears and the patterned dress with pink piping as paws. The boys had the tie made into ears and then the pink trim of the jumper was used to make paws. All these lovely Blazer Bears had a scarf, pink braiding and the silver blazer button to complete the look. Finally each had the individual nametag on the back and a leavers 2015  label on the ear!

We also made a summer dress Blazer Bears for 2015 leavers. They each had a scarf made from the jumper with yellow trim, a school badge and paws and ears made from the school kilt.

We are about to start an order for 40 large Blazer Bears made from a wonderful Venetian stripe… a fabric specially designed for the school. On top of this we have had a host of bears leaving our workshop finding their way to their new homes. From scout bears to Australia to rugby bears in Dulwich.

It is such a busy time at the moment as we are also attending at least 3 fairs every weekend. Last week we were at White Lodge Royal Ballet School for their open day as well as Combe Bank in Sevenoaks. Both lovely events although the weather was a little chilly!

This weekend we are off to Hilden Grange in Tonbridge, Kings School Wimbledon, several prep schools in Essex and Caterham School in Surrey! We will have a selection of keepsake bears on display including a small bear example. Fingers crossed for sunshine!

How did it start?

tplFriends since their first children were born, Pru and Kathy are two mums whose children are now at secondary school. As a special keepsake Pru made each of her children a teddy bear out of their old school Blazers. Kathy loved the concept so they joined forces and Blazer Bear. was born.  Find out more

How does it work?

Whether it be a blazer, school uniform, rugby shirts, precious clothing babygros, the list is endless. Everything is lovingly handcrafted entirely from what you give us. If it is a group school order you are after, we can often source the fabrics and even incorporate a school emblem Find out
