Christmas Keepsake Bear
We love going to fairs anytime of year but the Christmas ones are especially fun. We love getting into the festive spirit and doing our shopping done too! We also love meeting customers new and old and taking orders for Blazer Bears for Christmas!
We have been to quite a handful of fairs already this year and we have been approached by lots of people who have had a bear made or wish to have more made. It is so lovely to put a face to a name and hear how pleased they are with their Blazer Bear! We keep all our letters and e mails in a special book and this week we have just finished the most delicious box of biscuits we received from a customer who we made some brownie bears for. We were thrilled to hear how happy she was with the bears and have pinned the gorgeous handmade card she made for us on our workshop wall.
We have been really busy this week. Lots of bears sent to their new owners …..
and 4 fairs in a week! . This week we attended the Junior League of London’s Christmas Fair….Boutique de Noel. This is an American organization that raises money for a host of deserving causes. The event was held at Kensington Town Hall and started with a VIP evening on Wednesday with us perfectly positioned opposite the champagne stall! Drinks and canopies were generously handed round…even for stallholders, which we all hugely appreciated ! There was also an auction with fabulous prizes including Michael Bublé tickets and dinner, which raised a fantastic amount of money. During the evening we had several former customers bringing friend with them to show them our Blazer Bears. We ran out of bags but will be sending out to those who asked for them and look forward to making lots of new bears. Some uniforms will be coming all the way over from The States, which we can’t wait to see!
We then had Granville School Christmas Fair which is always a really friendly affair! Fiona one of our lovely helpers manned the stall with the help of Jill who will be doing several fairs for us this December. This weekend we were at Stylish Events at the Amex Stadium in Brighton and again managed to find ourselves next to the champagne stall….we promise you we don’t plan this….although we are not complaining either!
We are off to Ardingly Christmas Fair on Thursday and continue to travel around the South East leading up to Christmas taking our bears this week to West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London. We get busier and busier as the weeks tick by and so have advised that our deadline for receiving bags for Christmas delivery is the 5th of December. However as always we offer beautifully wrapped gift vouchers which are a great present for anyone. The envelope includes the voucher, a brochure and a letter explaining the process. We are also very happy to speak to anyone directly to help design their own Blazer Bear. Happy Shopping!
Friends since their first children were born, Pru and Kathy are two mums whose children are now at secondary school.
