Christmas Fairs have started! We are delighted to be returning to many schools and fairs from last year but we are also visiting new events with our keepsake bears in London and the South East! Last year we had one of our busiest months completing Christmas keepsake bears.
Our first event is a Christmas shopping event at Russell House School in Otford www.russellhouseschool.co.uk. This is an independent school for girls and boys, which has been celebrating their 75th anniversary! We have made a Russell House Blazer Bear to take pride of place and we think he looks very smart indeed! He looks even smarter with his blue scarf with red trim…picture to follow.
We are then attending the Action Medical Research Fair in Hall Barn in Beaconsfield. This is a super Autumn Fair sponsored by Caldicott School. Action Medical Research are a UK wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies and children www.action.org.uk Paddington Bear has been at the heart of fundraising for Action Medical Research ever since his creator, Michael Bond, met the charity’s founder, Duncan Guthrie, in 1976. Paddington Bear is now their official mascot! There are over 50 stalls, Knight Frank are offering courtesy shuttle taxis and there is a chance to win a meal for two delivered to your home by Gusto Cuisine!
We are also at the Stylish Events Christmas Fair at the American Express Stadium in Brighton on November 15th and 16th. It is a fantastic place to get some of your Christmas shopping finished with over 100 exhibitors. Take a look at the website and you will be able to plan your visit www.stylisheventsfayres.com. and get into the Christmas spirit.
We are attending a host of different school events in London including Eaton Manor School, Kings School Wimbledon and Alleyns Holly Fair. We will keep the upcoming dates on our website.
The Blazer Bear team are very excited to be supporting the Junior League of London’s 35th Annual Boutique de Noel. This is being held at Kensington Town Hall. On Wednesday the 12th of November there is a premier shopping evening with canapés and champagne followed by a fun filled shopping day on the 13th. There are gorgeous gifts to entice. If you buy your tickets in advance there are great discounts https://boutique2014.eventbrite.co.uk.
We had a fabulous day at Dulwich School Christmas Fair last year and we will be exhibiting our Blazer Bears again this year. The school is jammed pack with two floors of stalls selling clothing and gifts,a food hall and outside marquees. Last year my bags were laden with presents I could tick off my list! As with all our fairs we will be bringing a selection of our Blazer Bears from schools in the local area to demonstrate what we do.
We really end up feeling so Christmassy after attending these events. What is also fantastic is that we manage to get so much shopping done whether smaller presents for stocking fillers or special gifts for family and friends. We sample delicious mince pies, cheeses, Christmas puddings, wines….Christmas definitely starts early in our workshop :).
Friends since their first children were born, Pru and Kathy are two mums whose children are now at secondary school. As a special keepsake Pru made each of her children a teddy bear out of their old school Blazers. Kathy loved the concept so they joined forces and Blazer Bear. was born. Find out more
Whether it be a blazer, school uniform, rugby shirts, precious clothing babygros, the list is endless. Everything is lovingly handcrafted entirely from what you give us. If it is a group school order you are after, we can often source the fabrics and even incorporate a school emblem Find out
