We are very much looking forward to the Kent College Pembury, Beauty Evening this Friday 26th April. We are very grateful to the Parents Association for inviting Blazer Bear to have a stall at this exciting event to showcase our handmade Teddy Bears.
Looking for a unique 21st present, we were approached by a former Kent College parent to make a Blazer Bear out of her old school uniform. Although the Blazer was very worn we are delighted with the way she turned out.
We incorporated their distinctive blue and white striped shirt into the paws and ears – not forgetting the name tape behind the ear . The recipient clearly enjoyed her sport as the bears’ back is full of sporting colours where we hand sewed them on. The front of the Bear is adorned with pin on badges, including her treasured House badge.
This Lovely Bear will take pride of place on our display before she is swept away by the mother, ready to be wrapped up for her daughter’s special birthday.
I wonder if she will go back to University with her…or if she stays at home and sits amongst Phoebe’s other memorabilia on her special shelf?
Whichever, I’m sure this particular bear will be very happy.
Friends since their first children were born, Pru and Kathy are two mums whose children are now at secondary school. As a special keepsake Pru made each of her children a teddy bear out of their old school Blazers. Kathy loved the concept so they joined forces and Blazer Bear. was born. Find out more
