Keepsake bears grow

Keepsake bears are being sent all over the country. As we make more and more keepsake bears the range of requests and ideas continues to grow! We have loved seeing so many different uniforms and the ideas for their use. We try to make sure every keepsake bear is unique and so to,the way we use the material. We always try to make sure we as far as possible fulfil the wishes of our customers. We recently made a lovely bear which was a combination of a girl’s prep school and grammar school uniform. It was a great way to combine all the school memories into one bear.

Recently we made two lovely Blazer Bears for Ardingly School. The first was made from the gorgeous green blazer and we used the tie with the Ardingly School emblem on for the ears and paws. We then used the tracksuit with the distinctive yellow piping for a scarf again incorporating the school crest. The green and yellow uniform is the Prep School colours but for the senior school has dark blue and yellow. We are soon to be making their keepsake bear.

They also provided us with the very pretty peppermint summer dress. We created another keepsake bear using the crest from another piece of uniform to emblazon the front. A fleece was then used for the ears, paws and scarf.

Rokeby School in London have recently ordered a host of different bears. The Blazer Bears were made from their very smart grey blazers. Using the braiding to edge the middle of the blazer and their wonderful tie for ears etc. They also sent us their school socks with the distinctive blue and red stripe for us to make scarves. Other Rokeby keepsake bears has the jumper braiding added as paws and the striking black and yellow sports tops were made into lovely scarves.

Cottesmore School also sent us a selection of material from different parts of their uniform. We combined them all to make a wonderful patchwork bear which had so many memories. The tartan, dogtooth material, blazer, shirt, sweatshirt were all incorporated in to a fantastic keepsake. The sports top again made a wonderful scarf in blue and white stripes. We were delighted to hear the school loved it!

We have already had lots of requests for group orders for leavers. We have just received an order for 25 keepsake bears for a school near Sevenoaks. We will keep the school secret as the bears are a surprise gift for the Year 6 leavers from the school.
