Over the past few months we have made some wonderful keepsakes for siblings, twins and even triplets. Some customers want the bears or cushions to be exactly the same, some want them to be different. We know only too well how it is so important this can be and how it can vary so much. I myself am a twin, and we are the best of friends. Our Mum used to dress up us in the same outfits but one was blue and one was pink. By the time we were 8 years old we were desperate to be different from each other. Personalised gifts have really exploded in popularity over the last 3 years. Customers want gifts to be thoughtful, personal and unique, the options are endless. We have really enjoyed introducing personalisation to all our products and are constantly experimenting with our new machines.
We started with our Blazer Bears and added embroidery to the back. Unfortunately it was too late to add any to our original bear Blaze. However, we hope to make a friend for him soon with our logo on the back. Customers have loved adding names, dates and messages to their bears. Whether personalised gifts for teachers or school leavers, or as a class mascot.

We were at the Mayfield Michaelmas Fair displaying all our keepsake gifts including our bears and cushions together with our new baby keepsake range and our Christmas keepsakes. All our products the latter can be personalised with names, dates or a special message. Cottenden Country Market in Stonegate is our next fair on Thursday October 12th. The Blazer Bear Team have been busy in the workshop as always creating special keepsakes for our customers. This week we have made some gorgeous bears, cushions and Christmas aprons . One of the bears we made was created from a blazer which was 50 years old. With some of the spare material our fantastic machinists also made some small PE kit bags from the sports tops.

Spring cleaning has been less of a chore as we all decided to find our children’s favourite baby outfits to make the first prototypes. Having carefully packed them away many years ago, I had forgotten how many I had stored away! It was so lovely to bring them out of the boxes and create something to treasure for years to come. Since then we have made some very special cushions for our customers some of which are featured below.

Friends since their first children were born, Pru and Kathy are two mums whose children are now at secondary school. As a special keepsake Pru made each of her children a teddy bear out of their old school Blazers. Kathy loved the concept so they joined forces and Blazer Bear. was born. Find out more
