We have been so busy this month not only with 2016 leavers keepsakes but also we have been asked to make lots of bears for school charity auctions. We have been so delighted to hear they have a been a huge success and raised lots of money for various schools. Last month we made a bundle of large Putney High Blazer Bears for a charity auction for their school ball.
Each bear was made from various aspects of the wonderful purple uniform. Whether the gingham dresses, purple sweatshirt, sports skirt or jumpers. Each large bear had the event name and date stitched to the back of the ear to commemorate the occasion. We delivered the bundle of bears to Putney and were thrilled to be sent pictures of the very glamorous event!

The starts of 2016 has been our busiest year by far with orders for leavers 2016 keepsakes from a host of different s schools including as far afield as Scotland to Jersey!
For some schools the schools have provided their own uniform or items from the second hand uniform store. While for others we have sourced the fabric and made bears cut
from the roll . The sizes of keepsake bears have also varied with some loving the smaller bear and other wanting the larger more bespoke bear. However we always have a name tag
stitched to the back of each ear and each bear is a individual unique school momento.

We have sent lots of bears to Australia over the past year. These Australian Blazer Bears are off to Perth. They are keepsakes are for Scotch College in Perth. We had made one for a customer a few months ago and it was much admired. Since then we have had lots of orders for more keepsake bears. We love the distinctive stripe and smart gold button and we are always very careful to make sure we align all the pattern to create professional and handcrafted product. These bespoke bears are now travelling via courier to Australia to meet their new owners.
We have sent Blazer Bears to Sydney, Perth and Melbourne for recent school leavers and for those who left school even 30 years ago! We have even managed to source material for certain schools, which cuts out the need to send the uniform to the UK. … Read more of this post
Just after Christmas we were asked to make 55 uniform keepsake bears for a lovely school called Emberhurst. Sadly it was closing its doors but the parents wanted to have a keepsake for their children and the teachers to remind them of the happy times spent at their school. The only problem was their leaving party was in two weeks and the turn around had to be completed in 9 days. So we got busy!

Friends since their first children were born, Pru and Kathy are two mums whose children are now at secondary school.
