Keepsake bear for Christmas

Keepsake Bear for Christmas

We are in our final week or completing orders for Christmas! It has been an incredibly busy few months attending fairs and meeting lots of wonderful new coustomers. Our handmade Blazer Bears have travelled to many counties in the South East from Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and London!

This year we started our Fair season by attending the Independent Schools Show for the first time at the Battersea Evolution Centre in Battersea Park. It was a great weekend and joined over 150 schools who attended the event. Both days were very busy with prospective parents visiting the event.

Our handmade keepsake bears then spent three lovely days at the Rare Brands Christmas Market at Goodwood Racecourse  and proved very popular. We have certainly got into the Christmas Spirit with all wonderful festive events and the ever popular Dulwich Christmas Fair at Dulwich School in … Read more of this post

Our keepsake bears reviewed

A wonderful review of our keepsake bears

We were so thrilled that Real Mum Reviews asked to review our Blazer Bears. Lucy loved the idea of our keepsake teddy bears but wanted to see for herself what it was all about.

As we always do we sent them a pre addressed envelope and check list and eagerly awaited the special clothing. The keepsake bear was to be made from precious much loved first baby clothes. Lucy’s daughter (the cutest little model) always looked so sweet in purple clothing and the items that arrived were the prettiest outfits. There was a mixture of floral, stripes and plain including a little bear logo.

The first thing we have to do is consider the best way to design this special keepsake bear. There were stripes, floral and plain outfits all in coordinating purples and creams. There was also a little bow in floral … Read more of this post

Forces keepsake bears

Keepsake bears made from Forces uniform

The very first forces keepsake bear we made was created from a wonderful RAF jacket from the 1940’s as a unique gift. The jacket was adorned with memorabilia and very smart buttons and, as always with our handmade bears, we included as much of the detail as possible. We hand sewed the shoulder composite braid and RAF wings and followed the original jacket lay out to make an accurate representation of this gorgeous jacket in the form of a keepsake bear.

We were delighted having put this very handsome bear on our website to be contacted by a current serving member of the RAF, … Read more of this post

Keepsake Bears

We love making keepsake bears from sports kit and memorabilia. We are often make handmade teddy bears as mascots or unique gifts for players and teams.

Therefore we were delighted to be asked to make two handmade keepsake bears as a unique gift for a professional cricket player. They were to be wedding presents for himself and his new wife. We were given the whites of the Sussex team he plays for to make his keepsake bear and his pink 20/20 kit, which he wears when playing for Middlesex for his wife’s bear.

Cricket whites, also known as flannels, are the uniform, which is seen as the traditional kit when playing cricket. It conjures up the nostalgic very British scene of players dressed in white flannels on a village green on a balmy summers afternoon is a scene. The original flannel material has nowadays been replaced with one that has … Read more of this post
